Stella

Stella was developed by the Summerland Research Station in Summerland, Canada in 1968. The fruit's skin is red to dark red and loses its sheen when over mature. The flesh is dark red and moderately firm. This is a self fertile cherry and does not require cross pollination. It can be used as a cross pollinator for many other varieties. This is one of the very first self fertile commercial cherry varieties ever bred.
